Message: Most states require yellow or red turn signals and red brake lights. Clear tail lamps with white lights will just confuse people.

Message: I did the same thing with the clear corners and I just got amber bulbs, the only thing that I had to do is get 168 sidemarker bulbs instead of the 194s or just the opposite I don't remember.

Message: I assume that you are talking about clear corners, the one's on the front. If that is the case then the answer is,,, it depends. Each state has the ability to set vehicle light coloring. Most states are consistent, but some also allow some light color variation.
For example, in Texas, the front turn signal lights can be amber or white, with the side marker lights being required to be amber. Also a side reflector is required.
Minimally the turn signal light color for all states is amber, but some, like TX, also allow white.
For mine, I put in amber bulbs (to avoid any legal hassles), but to avoid the egg yolk look in the clear corner, I gave the bulbs a light coat of silver engine paint. That way, when the light is off, the bulbs can't be seen, and when it's lit up, it will shine though as amber.

Message: Call the highway patrol and ask ..... i scanned the DOT laws for your area and i didnt find anything that says you cant have white turn signals in the front of your truck. I live in FL and they allow white OR amber FRONT turn signals... but the rear has to be red or amber ...

Message: DO some searching, there are specially coated bulbs out there that glow amber but blend in with your clearcorners when not lit.
