Subject: removing taillights IP: Logged
Message: I have an 04 dakota and i am thinking about taking out the old taillights and having some taillight fillers made and then putting in lights from a caddy, and i have a couple questions. first one is how to get the stock taillights out. i took out the two screws located inside by where tailgate is, but there is something holding it in still and i can't figure out how to get them out. second question is, what kind of steel needs to be used to make the filler pieces for the taillights. any help would be appreciated.

Message: after you remove those two screw just pull, they are metal ball tabs that just pop out. you wont break them, dont worry. As for the tail light fillers, google them because im sure someone makes them already pre-cut and bent to fit.
