Subject: Tailight Covers

Message:
Okay I bought some tailight covers for My 93 Dak off of ebay, Once I got them I was excited to put them on, and of course they look great. My problem is now that they've been on for a few days I realized that they cover up the screws to take the tailight housing off. Not that my bulbs need to be replaced but how do I take the covers off with them stuck to my tailights. They originaly installed with 3M tape. This stuff sticks quite well and I don't want to destroy the covers to get them off. Is there a solvent out there to dissapate the Tape to easily take them off. Once I do get them off I shall drill holes in them where the screws go. How smart of me eh?
Anyways any help?

ouch man that sucks, but im sure i would have done the same thing. unfortunetly i can think of any chemical that wont mess up the tail light or the covers, let alone your paint. but, i would suggest find a 2nd gen and measure how far the the top and bottom the holes are and check and check again, then drill away

If WD-40 will remove decals and stickers, will it work on this too? That and a little help from a hair dryer may work.
