Go buy "goo gone" from wally world. apply and run a blow dryer heavily over the pin stripe. This will take A LONG TIME but it is the only way i know how to get decals/pin stripes off. good luck it is really boring!

Do what Justin said. Be carefull not to overheat and peel the paint.

Once you remove the stripe, you'll still be able to see it. The sun fades your paint a little, depending on the color and where you live. But it won't be faded underneath the stripe.

My factory pinstripes came off while driving through the remnants of hurricane francsis. Actually when I say came off what I really mean is the broke apart in 6-8 inch chunks that appeared to be sliced off in sections so some of the stripes remained but missing large portions of it. Ironically I was talking about peeling them off anyway not knowing that they were already peeling as I was speaking. The rain was coming down so hard it also cracked one of my foglights slightly and filled it full of water shattering the hot bulb.
