Subject: Better Fog Lights? IP: Logged
Message: When driving down the road you see some of the newer cars with great fog lamps. Not the ones that blind you, but still light up the road (not your mirror) Does anyone know of a set that fit and mount easily in the factory location utilizing the wiring that is already there? My factory fog lights don't do a damn thing for visibility. They remind me of a flashlight loosing battery power. They are just a yellow color...I am looking for something better.

Message: there really arent any replacements that will plug and play ..i switched the light bulbs and they worked a little beter but then i replaced them with 4 inch pilots and im extremely happy i did ,there only 2 new wires which are grounds and a positive trust me they work alot beter than the oems and are alot easier to replace if anything ever happens

Message: I did the same thing, but had to cut my air dam since mine didn't come with factory fogs.

Message: I put a set odf PIAA's in mine. remarkable improvement in performance. Had to fabricate a bracket, but that was easy. Wiring was simple.

Message: A braket comes with the pilot ones, but its not very rugged. While on a rough road or bomps the lights shake.

Message: The bracket that comes with the PIAA's is pretty cheezy, too. That's why I made my own out of 1/8" plate steel.

Were you able to make and adjusting braket?
Any ideas would be appriciated.
My wlding skills are ok, but not great.

Message: It was real simple, but somewhat tedious. No welding required. Just a simple L bracket made of heavy steel. You just have to make very carefull measurements to get it all to fit just right. It took me about an hour for the first one, and 10 minutes for the second.
