 Subject: center console swap

I have a 2001 quad cab with a center console. I was wondering if it would be a direct swap to replace it with a center seat with the fold down arm rest? Was this even an option for this year? I have downsized from a full size truck, and would like the extra room up front if it is possible. Anyone have any experience with this subject?

it would be easier to swap the whole seat since the ones w/ the fold down armrest are one piece

i have a 97 rc and i have taken my seats out before....they arent one piece...atleast in my 97...i dont know if something changed, but in mine they are simply bolted together with some brackets under the middle seat on both sides
