Subject: 285/60/18??

I have a 2002 Dak SXT 4x4 with stock suspension. I want to run 285/60/18's with all seasons for better mileage because I drive mostly on the highway. I'm not sure of the backspacing on the 18x8.5 rims that I have awaiting the tires. My understanding is that i can fit anything 32x11.5 and under without a lift - these would be 31.46 x 11.22. Eventually I plan on lifting and running some 33's+, but can't afford it at the moment. Any ideas if this will work? Any help is much appreciated! Thanks!
