 Subject: HELP!!! Interior Door Handle

I have a 2003 Dakota with Manual Locks. I am trying to paint the plastic trim around the interior door handels. But the only problem is that one of the sides is melted together to the rest of the door panel. Please help what should I do because I really need to get the interior door handle trim off. Here are some pics. Also if you painted your interior trim panel please post some pics and tell me how you did that. Here are some pics of the plastic melted.
