Subject: scratches... IP: Logged
Message: i have a 01 dakota,painted patriot blue clear coat. i have a lot of scratches,& scuff marks,other than that the paint looks very nice after i wash it. is there a good wax or cleaner that will fix them ??? maybe have it detailed,...or do i need to have it painted ?????

Message: i deal with this everyday of my life. everytime i wash my car i find more and more scratches. actually just tonight i bought some stuff by "mothers" i havnt tryed it out yet so.... this is what you do. McGuires has this stuff, not sure what its called. its part of a 3 thingy system. number 2 i beleave go look for it at pep boys. neways wash ur car and take an applicator pad, squirt some on and rub ur arm off on a scratch. i cleaned up my tailgate trememdouly doing this. whipe off with towl after done.

Message: O'reilleys auto parts stor sells manufacturer paint pens. it is a pen with the stock paints from EVERY car producer...look in your glove box and read the paint code...for instance my dak is PR4 (poppy red) then match that with one the the chysler pens. bingo it works great. anyway good luck with the scuffs
