I just bought a new 2004 Dodge Dakota, standard cab. I am thinking about purchasing a cap for the truck bed. Would anyone want to offer a recommendation as to the pros and cons of this; and as to which manufacturers make the best. The type of cap that I have in mind would continue the roof line of the cab. i have cap on mine and i love it. i live in montana and it keeps me from having to shovel snow out of the bed. i can store things in the bed w/o having to worry about theft. they are not that heavy and can be removed with a strong friend or two. i have a high top cap which i prefer over the in line ones because of more storage and i sleep in mine when fishing and skiing. LEER makes the best ones but go and talk to a local dealer and they will hook you up. good luck
