Subject: Best roll pan? IP: Logged
Message: Hey, guys. What is the best roll pan out there? Looking for the neatest appearance on my 2000 R/T, could be 'glass or steel. Who's got what pan/experiences/instal problems/etc?
Thanks.

Message: I don't have a roll pan yet, but from what I've been reading, and what i am getting, is the Sir Micheal's Stell Rollpan. I hear steel Sir Micheals are the best of the best. I've read nothing but great things about them.

Message: Everyone has their own opinion about style but I'll offer you mine. I personally don't care for the Sir Michaels roll pan just because it looks like a plain rectangle on the backside of the truck. Street Scene Gen I is my favorite roll pan(made out of Urethane) for the kota and the Xenon one is nice too. Check those out, before deciding.

Message: Rich is right on the looks, SS roll pans have more of a flow to them. I just don't trust "soft" roll pans. I'd rather have a sturdy steel one.
But I say, if the SS one is durrible(sp?), get that, it does have a better look. But if you are afraid of damaging things, get the steel.

Message: Pye here is your spelling lesson for today - durable....just playing bro lol. SS Guarentees their Urethane will last and is as durable as the steel one, I'm willing to take that chance just because I love the style of it and the company I get my truck stuff from is located by me. So if I don't like it, I could always walk up to their front window and throw that sucker right through it lol.
btw, pye did you mount those rims yet? I'm going to make that purchase from that guy but was hoping to see some pics from a kota owner that bought rims from that exact seller.

Message: One question, do you HAVE to weld in the steel one or can it just be bolted on? I would rather not have to paint any of the body at all. I would like to just have the pan painted and slap 'er on.
Thanks.
