I have a special truck actually we have a special truck. The lines and curves of the body panels are perfect and proportional. To me this is the sexiest truck on the market but like us many people love to mod these trucks. Hey whatever makes it yours and looks good. But there are a few things that I hate seeing on dakotas because In my opinion make the truck look bad. And This thread I think should be dedicated to ugly mods that we hate. This way some people and I wont say names can read this and be influenced not to make their truck look ugly. I'll start out with a few. I think the dual racing stripes going down the middle of the hood is kind of cheesy they look alright on Camaros and Vipers and some mustangs but they disrupt the flowing lines on a Dakota(to me). Trust me the stripes dont add any Hp or Tq. Also I don't like the tonneau covers that overlap the bed sides and that goes for you ARE and Leer
I like checkmate because the cover sites flush with the bed sides and looks good. I like some of the bumper covers for our trucks but the sniper grill makes our truck look like a pontiac. Personally why would you take the cross hairs off our truck i mean thats what makes it a real dakota. anyways these are all just my opinion and if you happen to have any of these mods done don't get your panties in a wad because you like the way these look I'm just stating my and many others opinion these mods so that poeple will think before they install somthing that could change their life!!!! ha ha i was kidding about that last part. If you get offended by any of these opinions then your just an emotional pussy. Thats my 2 cents take it or leave it.

I'm happy someone actually made a thread that pertains tot his issue. There are many things that I HATE or just flat out don't like that people get on their kotas. Some of the lame things I can't stand are the bras people put on their truck. Tailgate wings (I just wanna rip them damn things off). I gotta agree about the racing stripes, they just throw off the look of the truck. Checkmate makes the best tonneau cover I agree, very sleek. I like the aftermarket bumpers offered for kotas except for the sniper one as well. Just looks stupid. To each his own I guess.
I don't care if people want to make their truck look ugly; it just makes mine look that much better hehe ;)

have no clue why anyone would want a over the rail covers. Those sorry suckers who keep water and the elements out of the bed. Not to mention, ease of mounting or extra cargo space. Those sorry suchkers.

i hate pussies who try to talk about how crappy expensive mods are to make themselves feel better...like "audiobahn rules and JL's are totally overpriced", and God get over the sniper kit...just because youre broke self cant afford it doesnt mean you have to rag on it to make yourself feel better, its a little pathetic...wings only look good if you're layin frame and runnin 10's at the track, and lets face it, nobody is...checkmates are cheap pieces of crap, in fact they are the cheapest fiberglass toneau thats out there and we all know you only get what you pay for...racin stripes can be pulled off if you have plenty of mods and HP to go with it but too many people put them on stock a$$ trucks...euro's look better than stock tail lights 99% of the time and not many can afford to shave their tail lights like it should be done...and the cross hairs make it a dakota???? the overpriced aftermarket accessories and near impossibility of laying frame on 20's make it a dakota to me...

I don't drive no stupid pontiac. Personally I like the stock rims that come on a newer dakota. There we go another mexicanized dakota with a wing on the back.........Oh yeah and sniper kit and racing stripes to make people think that hes running 12's when in fact it runs like 16's. Wow that guy is really creative. Any 5 year old can install a body kit. And it looks like a majority of body kits are installed by five year olds that cant get over show and tell.

Yea, there was no need to trash-talk on some ones opinion. It was just that, and OPINION!
Although I can not see how you can sit there and say a SNIPER kit is ugly. Man, if they made them for QC's, I'd be all over it.
Mods I hate...
Shaved taillights with the corvette lights in the rollpa, Bulky tonnuea covers, little rims(smaller than factory), and wings(unless its small and on with a body kit).
My next mod will be cutting the "crosshairs" off of my grille, and slapping a custom sheet of street scene chrome in there, giving it that "open mouth" look I want.

blackQCsport...if a "stupid 5 year old" could install a body kit...why is your junk still stock as hell???hhhmmm.......broke ass.......there are tons and tons of different hoods, bumper covers, roll pans, grilles...more than just the sniper...so are you sayin they all suck and the stock parts are better than any mod?just say it..."im too broke to fix up my kota, so i like to rag on those fortunate enough to do so"...dont you feel better now...and in the last year, ive come to realize dakotas arent exactly the "cadillacs" of minitrucks...they dont ride that well, tons of little "kinks", and the mods are expensive as hell...but if you throw on a body kit, do a little welding, slam it on 20's, theyre so much hotter than any other truck...im not offended at all, 98% of the world would go for my truck instead of yours, i just think youre a tard.....plain and simple..."stock is way cooler than aftermarket", Im not sayin you have to pump youre entire life savings into a truck but damn dude...what an ass...

alright... guys, everyone has their own opinion what they want their daks to look like, respect it. im not sayin every mod is tasteful, but come one, you gotta respect the fact that it aint stock and they are tryin...

I gotta agree with the people thinking their ride is pimped with just rims, yeah it is kind of annoying but if you think about it, that is one of the most expensive mods to do so I can understand why the owner would feel all proud. Give credit where credit is due but just don't over embellish it and think that your ride is top of the line because it has fancy wheels on it.

Well Dakota on 20's you seem to think you got the whole picture sorted out but lets think a little bit more conservatively. You must be 1 of the 6% of car buyers that waste they're money buying things to make their vehicle just the way they want it when they could go the cheaper route and actually buy their car for what it is. I bought my truck because I liked they way it was from the dealership. Although I have done many mods and have put my own fare share of money into my truck. When you work in the oil buisness you can buy 1,000 body kits if you like. But why would I waste my time and money doing that when I can flip the money into natural gas royalties and make twice as much in a payout period of oh lets say anywhere in between 6 months to 1.5 years. What makes more sense to you. You claim my truck is bone ass stock. Well when has dodge ever put out a black truck with a white interior stock??? When has a stock truck come with flows and airraid intake??? When has a stock truck ever even come with 1:7 Rollers??? Damn I must have been under a rock!!! Fine, you have convinced me to keep my mouth shut I have wasted more time here than I ever wanted too. All because somone doesn't know the meaning of conservative. Wheres the thrill in buying a bodykit? I would much rather use my creativness and build one myself, because then no one even has a chance to copy me. One day you'll see what I'm saying when another motherF3cker buys a white CC Dakota and puts the exact same body kit and stripes as you have. All that money wasted and gone when you could have made the money to have wings west build you your own personlalized body kit. I think my work here is done. You slapped a body kit on your truck just fishing for a compliment when there is now complement deserved. A compliment is deserved when you have taken the time to be individual. So far I am the only dodge dakota that is nothing like any of the other dakotas I have seen. I have seen dozens of sniper'd dakotas, I have seen dozens of striped dakotas. but never a black quad cab with a contrasted white interior. And if you think I am joking then I can't wait to post up some picks because I truley feel that if any one deserves a compliment thats me but I don't do it for the compliments I do it for me myself and my truck. I'm not trying to be an ahole and bash no ones truck if someone where to bash my truck I would just laugh. I wouldn't even have to say anything. Because I know inside what the truth is. If you disagree with me the best way to handle critisim is to just not reply with negativity. Especially since we all have the right to freedom of speech, or freedom of opinion. I just wanted to start in interesting thread that lets people express what they like or dislike. not to sit there a bash eachothers truck. I don't bash your truck just some of the BS aftermarket stuff. Bashing your truck would literally be like bashing my own truck. Where all in the same truck.
