Hello,
If I were to get a 2"/4" drop on my Dakota WITH 20" rims, would I need to tuck the wheels first or will it be fine with them the way they are?

2/4 drop wont even get you low enough to tuck at all...you'll be fine...trust me

With the 2"/4" drop, will that even be enough to make it look "dropped". I know it would be a noticealbe(sp?) difference, but would the look even be worth the cash?
One more thing, if I were to hit a good sized bump/pothole, I wouldnt hit fender-to-tire, would I?

I'm running the Hotchkis 2/4" drop along with 20" rims and I don't rub at all with 255/35-20 tires, you can even go to 275/35-20's.

Big thanks for having a pic giving me an idea what it will come out to be.
I'm running 275/40/20's right now.
Thank again for the answers, just wanted to make sure that I won't blow up my poor truck...
Now all I have to do is worry about my wheels falling off.

if you are running the 275/45/20s then you will experience rubbing with a 2/4 drop. you must remember that your tires (29.7") are almost 3" taller than the ones in the pic (27") and any kind of angle or good sized pot hole will cause rubbing. i know from experience because i've got a 2/4 with a 265/35/22 tire (29.3") and i have to drive carefully to avoid any rubbing. you can still run the 2/4, i'm not tellin you not to cuz it'll look sweet, but you'll just have to drive super careful and not get too upset if it does rub a little.

Well, I geuss I'll do some rubbing, lol.
I really don't care about the rubbing, just so it's not enough to damage my vehicle.
By the way, please show me some pics of your 22's, I know that has to look sweet....I was told everywhere and had 22s fitted on my truck, and it never worked out.

haha yea it rides actually really well, it makes me want those hotchkiss sway bars reallly badly though once you finally get rims haha. the tires are 235/45 ..

yea i wanted the 2/3 then the 3/4 and to be honest when i have seen all the pics of those drops it either isnt low enough for me or it looks like nothing has changed, when i drop my truck i want the back to be even with the front or lower than the front, and none of those drops can do that , unless the rear is 2 inches lower than the front, like in the pic of that black dak so im going for a 3/4 first, any tips on how to get the back down to a 5 ? i'll post pics when its lowered the kit should be comin in any day then i gotta take it to get installed when i get my truck back

Sucks you already purchased the kit bro, I was just gonna say, your truck already looks great suspension wise, the cash could be spent well on a nice hood and/or a SS speed grill.

no way dude i got the 3/4 kit for 300 dollars from that guy barry on here, c.o.d. , I like my hood, and i think that all those grills look trashy and cheap i dont know if i will ever change it, i like how its black , if I change my grill its gonna be a completely different one, not some stupid inserts, but after its dropped i need to get those fender flares, then i will do more stereo stuff , i want a rearview mirror tv
