Personally - I like the cowl hoods - steel - from Reflexxions. I think I'm on my 3rd one,,brother wrecked it,,hail,,,and a wreck,,,,but of all the hoods I've bought from them - they have all been flawless. My two cents!

LOL, I'll stick to just purchasing a hood free of possible defects. Hope it works out for you without problems though.

If your looking for a reason to buy a certian hood think about all of the pros and cons. For example lets say you want you hood to fit perfectly and not look like its about to fall off then you should choose a steel hood. If you need more clearance under the hood because of engine mods then you should go with the cowl induction hood. If you aren't going to add a turbo or supercharger then you should go with a ram air hood because if you get one of these hoods and end up getting a blower then the ram air effect will be worthless. Its not hard to pick out a hood you just need to think of all the factors before you pick the prettiest one.

Good points about leaving space for engine mods but I wont be doing any drastic mods to the engine that will require additional room under the hood. I've just purchased the Reflexxion Steel Cowl Induction Hood and will be going to the factory to pick it up soon. Very nice up for my truck.
