Subject: Different tire width on a 4x4 IP: Logged
Message: I have a 94 Dakota Club Cab 5.2 Liter 4 wheel drive with the Mark III conversion kit, and I would like to put some new rims on my truck. I would like to put wider rims on the rear tires and narrower ones up front. Ive been told that i cant do this on a 4x4, and Ive been told that it doesnt matter as long as they are the same hieght. Does it matter?

Message: im not sure.. but the tires all have to be the same size.... you could prolly get away with different backspacing tho....

Message: You can put them as wide as you want in the back, BUT make sure you have EXACTLY the SAME HEIGHT.Or else you will have some major problems if you put it in 4x4.
