I was wondering if anybody has tried them out and if they are any good? And if they are illegal?

I got them on my '94 and they work fine. They are not of the finest quality but there nice. Plus they help my brilliant blue Dakota stand out even more it is the only Gen I or II Dakota that I have seen with them. They must not of had the Dakota style trim on them when I bought mine though because I got the ones with the wide chrome trim so they rub the tailgate a little. But now that I see them with black trim the chrome looks better. I only they would make the Dakota style trim in chrome. I far as I know they are not illegal hear in Michigan I have seen pickups with completely clear tail lights with no red showing driving around but you never know you I might come across an A$$hole cop someday who does not like them.
