Subject: trim job on dakota IP: Logged
Message: Well its not fully shaved yet but i had my buddie give it a little trim job.I had a shop quote me $150 for the tailgate handle to be shaved and primed and my buddie told me $100 for the gas tank and gate handle shaved so i took it there at about 1 in the mourning and about noon the next day i picked it up.I couldnt even tell where they used to be,great job knowing that he is 16,but the bad thing is that he knows jack sh!t about primer because he used a obany primer that you have to mix yourself...dont know if its the primer or if he doesnt mix it right. Its been about 48 hours and its still not dry yet,and i took a flat piece of metal and was going to scrape it down to the bondo, why not sand paper? cause its not dry and cause the primer is a quarter inch thick, could have waited till it was dry and sand all that sh!t off but i have a show to go to in 2 days and i dont know if it would be dry then.Another bad thing was that when i was taking it down to the bondo,it turned out that it wasnt dry yet either,i think he was in a little bit of a hurry.Just wanted to let you guys know not to use this stupied a$$ primer and to let you know i love the slick look of a good shave on a dakota, also good on a woman too...lol.I cant complain about a $300+ job for a 100 bucks i just have to reprime myself which isnt hard.
