Subject: Vinyl Decals IP: Logged
Message: I just put a vinyl decal on the front of my dakota on the windshield and am wondering how to get out the little bubbles. Will they just work themselves out or do I need to do something?? If anyone had tips that would be helpful. Thank you Andrew

Message: You had to have the paint under the decal wet/soapy as you install the decal. Then with a squeege work out the bubbles. I have see guys use a small pin to pop the air bubbles but I dont like the way it looked afterword. If the bubbles are really bad you might have to take them off and do it over.

Message: I typically poke a hole, hit it lightly with a propane torch (no sh*t) to shrink the vinyl and thumb it down. If you are lucky, you won't even tell it was there.

Message: you can take a credit card or drivers license and hold it at about a 45 degree angle and use the sides to get the bubbles out. doesnt leave holes in the decal and looks really good afterwards.
