Ok, so I am going to clay bar my truck this weekend then wax it. Let me get this straight(haven't done this before). I am first going to wash my truck off. Then I will use the detail spray, or soapy water, and get the panel and clay bar wet. Then start rubbing away I guess? Any certain motion I should go with the clay bar(circular, up and down, left and right?)

Then I am going to wash my truck again. I have some swirl marks and a couple fine scratches in my truck. So I am going to use some swirl remover(any recommendations?) on my truck. Then I am going to use some carnuba wax on top of that.

Does this sound right? Overkill? I have some mother's carnuba wax I will be using for the last step. It has worked good for me. No Zaino for now, too much money to spend right now. Maybe in the future I will get that.

Thanks for your input.

Use some dish soap if your gonna wax right away. clay bar will take off old wax bugs ect. and dish soap will help make the truck squeaky clean. use a Left to Right motion on the hood and top of cab use an up and down motion on the sides I do not use a circular motion or recommend it. I use Zaino and am very happy but I have used all the others and they will work just as well. I use the Zaino because I have found I lasts almost twice as long as carnuba wax. for the swirls use meguires or mothers swirl remover and then remove with a clean towel then apply your wax nice and thin with the same motion as the clay bar. remove with a different clean towel. hope this helps btw what color and year is your dak
