Subject: Clay bar!! IP: Logged
Message: Ok, so I am going to clay bar my truck this weekend then wax it. Let me get this straight(haven't done this before). I am first going to wash my truck off. Then I will use the detail spray, or soapy water, and get the panel and clay bar wet. Then start rubbing away I guess? Any certain motion I should go with the clay bar(circular, up and down, left and right?)
Then I am going to wash my truck again. I have some swirl marks and a couple fine scratches in my truck. So I am going to use some swirl remover(any recommendations?) on my truck. Then I am going to use some carnuba wax on top of that.
Does this sound right? Overkill? I have some mother's carnuba wax I will be using for the last step. It has worked good for me. No Zaino for now, too much money to spend right now. Maybe in the future I will get that.
Thanks for your input.

Message: Use some dish soap if your gonna wax right away. clay bar will take off old wax bugs ect. and dish soap will help make the truck squeaky clean. use a Left to Right motion on the hood and top of cab use an up and down motion on the sides I do not use a circular motion or recommend it. I use Zaino and am very happy but I have used all the others and they will work just as well. I use the Zaino because I have found I lasts almost twice as long as carnuba wax. for the swirls use meguires or mothers swirl remover and then remove with a clean towel then apply your wax nice and thin with the same motion as the clay bar. remove with a different clean towel. hope this helps btw what color and year is your dak
