 Subject: Parking Lamp in Clear Corners?

Hey Ya'll, I just installed my Clear Corners that I got from procarparts and there is a problem with the outer Parking Lamp. While Installing I tested the Parking Lamp and they worked fine. Now that I have the clear corners fully installed everything works accept the parking lamps! :(
I had to cut the stock P. Lamp socket out and splice the new socket in that came with the clears. I thought i wired it right because upon testing them they worked. But now the P. Lamps dont work?! Could I have blown a fuse or have a short. I'm gonna wait to hear from anyone before I take it all apart to check. THANKS!

It doesn't matter which way you wire a light bulb socket or insert the bulb (you can't do it backwards electronically), so if it's not working either the splicing came apart when you put it all back together, the bulbs are bad, or you possibly something shorted out the splice. If both bulbs are out I'd recommend sliding it back out and double-checking your spliced wires first. After that double-check that all the bulbs are firmly in their sockets.

Wheeww...! It was just a fuse that had busted. They work fine now. Man those look good!

If you can wait 7-21 days to save a few bucks, check out e-bay. Dozens of clear corners are on there all the time (search for dodge dakota). Otherwise try www.procarparts.com. Last I checked they were only charging $44.95 plus s/h for a set (though they did start massively gouging their website prices after their e-bay sales took off... Maybe artificially inflating their value for e-bay'ers)
