I'm about to buy gauges on Ebay for my 2000 Dodge Dakota Sport 4x4. Will the 1999 Gauges work as well? Also does anyone have any recommendations on which gagues to go with if i dont buy these off Ebay. The EbaY ones are i'm not sure who mkaes them .But does Brand name rally matter with gagues?

I don't think the name matters much, but you need to check the fit of the gauges and what tach you have. I have a 2000 dak sport club cab 4x4, and when I went to get gauges, nobody had any that would fit my truck. They had my year, but it was only a 6000 tach instead of 7000. So I ordered a 2001 with the 7000 tach, when I got that, I found not all the lights lined up and there was no light for 4x4. The others were slightly off as well. I don't know if my truck is just a freak or what, but I'd watch before you spend money on em.

I got Nu Image gauges off ebay for my 99 dak with a cf bexel overlay and they look sick.

I don't know if what your asking will work or not, because I just bought the ones that looked the most like mine, and I guess I lucked out.

I will say that they are a pain to install. I'm still having intermittent issues with some of my gauges. My temp. gauge doesn't work now, and my speedo and tach jump around choppy like ONLY WHEN IT IS COLD OUTSIDE (Mid 60s). I don't know what the deal is there.

Good luck.
