Subject: sanding clearcoat? IP: Logged
Message: does anybody know how long i have to wait for curing times before i can wet/dry sand and buff my recently sprayed clearcoat?its fairly good right know but i want it shiny as hell.anybody sprayed their own dak?how did it end up?

Message: I work at a body shop in nc. If your asking the qustion how long? that probably meens that you dont know what you are doing. You will ruin a paint job unless you are fairly experienced buffer. If it were me in your shoes, I would see how much the shop would charge, that way if that sand through they are liable and not you. However if you still want too, it generally takes 3 months for clear to completely cure. You can sand it withing days however if they was a lot of body work done that was going to show through later it still will if you don't wait the 3 months. I am speaking from experience,

Message: no your right,this my first paintjob but it looks great. your right though i can see a few bumps from body work.should i wait three monthes before touching it? can i put the stickers back on now at least or will that wreck it too? thanks for your input advice from a pro helps.
