Message: Don't do it. The covers with the snaps suck. Eventually the snaps will take to much wear and tear, and will break, and the cold winters will make it even tougher on them. Plus for $175, you would be better off going to your local auto parts store, because after shipping you would more than likely go over $200. My suggestion would be to get an Extang Tuff Tonneau, and go with the snap-less type. It's not velcro, and it doesn't snap, it uses a rubber hook the lenght of the cover that hooks to the rail. I have one it works great, easy to install, and when you want to rool it up, you just unclip the back rail, and roll the cover up and velcro it by the cab. I love mine, it looks a lot better than covers that snap, and I have never had a problem with it. I bought it at a local proformance shop for $220. In my opinion this is the one to go with.

Message: This should tell you all you need to know, I think for the $50 more it is worth it. But this is only my opinion. I got one back in April, and I love it. You should be able to find it for about $220, so it may be worth looking into. And just a piece of advice, if you buy a vinyl cover, put some armoral or 2001 protectant on it everytime you wash it, and it will keep it looking like new, and it gives it a great shine too.

Message: Is extang our only options? I don't like the idea of the snap type either.

Message: Extang makes snap and J-hook covers. While I agree with the above posters that the snaps may wear out and be a pain in the cold, I chose to buy the snap cover as it was the only one that allowed me access to the front of the bed without taking more then the front corner off.
Now that I have the cover though, I find that I don't access the front very much. I would recommend going with the J-hook' cover.
One last note is that the snap cover has not been problematic to deal with, for me anyway, as I live in a warm climate (Houston area).
I purchased mine cover from the following link for around $165 (shipped to my door).

Message: I bought an EXTANG FULL TILT soft cover.
It lifts up like a hard cover or it can be removed, in a minute, intact with the snaps in place. Its great, I paid about $230 for it from Summit Racing. Find EXTANG's web site and you can see it. I found EXTANG's middle and last bow very very hard to put on. I cut about 1/4 inch off and it solves the problem.
