Message: I was searching old posts and the pics weren't coming up for me. I was thinking about getting a sunroof for my 2000 clubcab. Any suggestions about where I should go or what price would be good? I've also heard about many of the aftermarket roofs leaking. Any of ya'll help me out? Thanks.

Message: I'm just lookin for glass. Possibly just a manual one. I can't see spendin a couple grand for a nice one that slides back into the roof. My friend's car has a nice one. Just goes back a lil and up. I was thinkin sumthin like that power or manual. Anyone know any prices? Should I take it to the dealer?

Message: all that and i still can't get good votes on cardomain.
anyway... total cost was just under 1k installed. figure 400 for the unit and rest for labor. i wasn't about to cut into my roof and all. wrenching--i can handle. cutting--not my cup of tea
check with local sunroof places for installation. all your doing is cutting based on the templates and wiring it up with some power. nothing too fancy--rather straightforward.
beats the hell out of the manual version and way cooler than a glass deal :)

Message: Yea, but while that ragtop looks cool, just doesn't seem like my cup of tea, if ya know what I mean. Thanks tho. Yea I was seriously considering doin a power if anything. Seems cooler that way.

mine was installed between the manufacturer and the dealer. There was a package back in '98 for a V6/auto/sunroof/cd changer/bedliner/rear slider/Sport. I have seen a few other V6's just like mine but different colors. There is a tag on my door jamb that shows it was installed April 1998 by "Sun Roof City" in Warren, Michigan.
Maybe you can check to see if they have a website or other dealers.
btw, mine's electric and moves up and then backwards... far enough you can stick your head out of it ;)
