Has anyone usd the Dupli-Color or any other chome spray paint to do work? Does it match with the factory chrome bumpers? I want to chrome the bumper cover to match my grille and bumper. Saw it on a Dak and it looks sweet. Would buy one, but $400+ is a lot for a bumper cover.

Paint will never look like chrome. Never. It comes pretty close, but not quite.

The big trick is to get the plastic parts absolutly smooth and straight before painting. It needs to be block sanded down to about 1000 grit paper or so.

It's not worth it then. I want it to be basically the same, otherwise it will lool like sh$t. You can't have two different color chromes. That sucks, I will probably have to settle for painting it white (the color of the truck)

FYI you can buy a factory valance in chrome for $130 +shipping from JC Whitney and California Customs.

Duplicolor chrome looks like high gloss silver, if you clear coat it, it turns grey. Not worth the money.

Mr. Sleepy,

Do you have a link? I can't find it on either site. I would appreciate it, thanks.
