Subject: Your opinion on a Custom Wheel IP: Logged
Message: I would appreciate your opinions on a custom wheel I thought about putting on my truck. I was thinking about taking a R/T rim, 17 inch, cast aluminum, and having it powder coated black. And making it shiny. I have a black ext 02 Dak with fender flares and SLT package. My front fascia is black and my rear bumper is black, but the chrome is still there. It looks really sharp, but the wheels scream to be black or chrome. I can't afford decent chrome wheels, but I could afford the R/T aluminums. This would look similar to the Motorsports edition rims, but darker. Do you think this would look tacky or out of place? Or do you think that I might be able to pull this off? Thanks for reading my post.

Message: Well Mud your opinion is the same as everyone else I just asked. How about replacing my stock rims with the motorspors edition rims?
BlakDad, I took a look at those wheels of yours but all they had listed was the Spy, Blunt, and Trauma series. All of those wheels look really expensive, and they do look good! My compliments, the spy is what I would purchase if I had a choice, but I'm affraid that can't afford those.

Message: The motorsports rims were sold with motorsport edition Dakotas and Durangos, they were the 02-04 premium aluminum rims with spoke design similiar to those R/T but less agressive looking. The motorsports were powder coated grey with chrome lugs and a small circle of chrome on the outer rim. You can see them on the Motorsport edition Dakotas on Cardomain, look for them they are usually rare and considered special, you could also search them on google and find a pic.
