Can anyone tell me where I can find 16 x 8 black wheels for my 2004 Dakota 4-wheel drive other than going to the dealer and paying $98 for a spare tire wheel? I love the look of the black wheels on my silver truck.

Try U.S. Wheel, American Racing, or Eagle Alloys. Several companies make them, you've just got to look around. You might even try a search on here for black wheels.

I saw on TRUCKS that Cragar is making a new truck rim that comes in black, and is cheaper in black than it is in chrome or alluminum, don't remember the exact price, but it was under $100 though.

I thought about painting them and was wondering about powder coating them too. Which one would be more durable? I have checked on the powder coat and it will cost about $200 including sandblasting. I haven't checked on a price for painting.

get the powder coat alot more durable 200 is a good price i had a dirt bike frame done lasted a long time

fireman, can you send me that link or post it here. I checked at Discount tire but couldn't find any black wheels for my truck. I need 16 inch 6 lug 4.5" bolt pattern. I have seen a lot of 6 lug but with the 5.5" pattern. Thanks.

Pepboys sells American Racing Wagon Wheels for cheap. I for 4 becuase I wanted something for the winter, well, I've kept then on now cause alot of people say they look really good on the blue truck.. Just letting ya know

I finally found 4 of the spare tire rims at a local junkyard. They are new, just taken off of wrecked Dakota's. I paid $200 for 4 of them, the dealer wanted $400. They are painted black but I thought about getting them powdercoated for a little extra durability. Thanks for all the posts and tips guys.
