I was looking to get some white face gauges. Any companies I should stay away from? I see APC is pretty popular in stores. Does anyone have the ones that have the illumination at night? I thought I might try those.

the ones that light up(green, blue...the ones that u have to hook up to power to light up) are crap; at least every one i've seen (mine, my bro's, my friend's) i have the flame one now that just glows with th original cluster's lights. if there are white ones that dont need power go with those, or i personally really like the platinum(silver) ones that dont need power either. Hope this helps...peace

Thanks, so the ones that light up are crap? Damn, it looked pretty sweet on the web, but I've yet to see it for real. I think I might just go with the regular white ones, with the blue backlight.

Hey Dan, the ones you have are the ones with the flames on the white face? How do they look and is it only the flame that lights up or what? I pretty much want ones that will light up like the stock ones do, not the indiglo thing.

yea, i have the white flamed guages (by Nu Image, other companies make some too, but i really think the other ones' flames look crappy; and be careful cuz there are also some flame guages that use power like indiglo).
With mine (Nu Image) when u turn the lights on, just the flames glow...for the most part: since there's not really anything to block/direct where the light goes, the light kinda bleeds thru to other areas like the check __ lights.
They have black flame ones too, i woulda got those if they had come out earlier...peace

Ok, does anyone know of any other companies besides Nu Image and APC that makes the white face gauges? I have a 2000 dakota sport, club cab, 4.7 V-8, 4WD, and a 7000 tach. APC had nothing for my year and Nu Image had one for my year but it was a 6000 tach, and they had one for the 2001's w/ a 7000 tach, but they didn't have a 4WD lock light, and the Service 4WD light was in the wrong place. Any suggestions?
