Message: there are no 4wd, or awd r/t's and there are no qc r/t's all r/t's are rc, or cc, and all are 2wd with 3.92 gears. you can get a qc with a 5.9 and call it an r/t if you want, but people will rip on you for it.

Message: Sure...just get an awd quad w/ 5.9 and throw r/t springs on it, now you have an awd r/t quad, no difference between you having the springs put on after production and mopar putting them on at production

Message: Well sure if you look at it that way. I think we are talking about Factory Built R/T. Not purchased with 5.9 AWD then add R/T stickers and suspension.

Message: No need for a pissing contest here Michael but why repeat what I just said, you can order every option on a sport quadcab dak that comes with an r/t, the only difference is the springs, what the heck is the differnece between the dealership putting on oe springs and decals or the factory?

Message: There are several QCs in the Houston area that sport R/T signage.
Some of the guys have replicated the R/T to the max and they look good. R/T wheels, lowered, fender flares, color matched bumpers, etc..
I've seen a few where some guy basically just stuck "R/T" and "5.9" decals on his and it looks ghetto!!

Message: ray- no there's not. It's also counter productive to put awd/4wd into an RT. That add's several hundered pounds, and the whole point of the RT is performance. Same can be said for the added wait of an extended cab.

Message: Actually, AWD would help out tremendously plating that torque to the ground, most r/t's have tremendous problems getting traction, yes AWD adds weight, but once you start pushing some serious horses awd is the way to go

Message: I would think that an AWD R/T wouldn't perform as well, all that lag from parasitic loss through the drivetrain would hamper the truck down... plus the limited slip in the R/T holds its own really well, I've read professional review articles comparing the R/T, the toyota TuRD, and the ford Lightning, the R/T did the best in the slalom tests, proving that it has enough traction.... screw 4wd...it's only good purpose is for offroading.. although it would be fun as hell to light up all fours coming off at redlight race.... I'll stick to my 2WD. just cause you slapped on some stickers and other parts doesn't change the truck, by that theory someone could slapp the parts on a 3.9 and call it an R/T...hell it doesn't change the VIN number, nor does it change the fact that the R/T uses different heads than a stock 5.9......
