I got a 2003 Stampede with the 3.9.Has anyone got the right setup for a good sound out of these v6's.You would think that with all the v6,s on the market, that some manufacturer would come up with something that sounds good.Just looking for that old school rumble.

I have Flowmaster on 3.9L had single in/ dual out with 3 and 1/2" tips out the back: sounded awesome! especially at idle, alot of ppl asked if it was a V8; had an awesome rumble... got into an accident and chopped it off after the muffler so it lost SOME rumble, but still sounds like a badass. Hope this helps...peace

I also have a single in/dual out 40 series with 3.5" tips with my 3.9L and it sounds great. I had a Magnaflow for a while and I thought it wounded good, but when I got the Flowmaster put on it was so much better, it just has a much deeper rumble to it.
