Message: I routed my wires along with the emergancy brake release. I think you can also use the speedometer cable access point.

Message: Guys, Look very closely, They might have prewired the front end for factory fog lights. My 97 SLT was! I had bought the factory lights and wiring harness, but found out that all I needed fron the harness was the relay that plugs into the fusebox under the hood.I took the harness back and got my money back, they never noticed the relay was missing.I used the money to buy the factory dash switch and the wire and plug was right there behind the dash waiting for me!!!

Message: I forgot something, If you use the FACTORY fog lights,do not use any aftermarket hi-wattage bulbs, they will melt the plastic lenses!!!
Good Luck!

Message: I,ve got the weirdest thing with my 2000 dakota. I found the one connector tied to the radiator for the drivers side light, but the other side has a connector that lookes like it needs another piece plugged into it before plugging into the light. I can't find any spare wires to add into the back of the dashboard plug before hooking up the new switch. and the relay that is part of my wire loom(the add on factory kit) will definitely not fit into the control box by itself if I don't run the enire new harness assy. I am totally confused. Anybody else find something similar in their truck?

Message: You can use a remote control awitch without doing any wireing inside . just buy the kit you all set. all you have to do mount your fog lights and give them power according to the kit's diagram and locate your remote control switch any where you want, the kit was around 100.00 dolars.

Message: I just installed Optronics Hyper X Series QX-50CK driving light with the remote control. They use 55 Watt Xeon bulbs and look good. With shipping the entire set was about $65.00

Message: How did you mount the fog lights? Did they come with a bracket. I have a 03 Club Cab with knockouts but no wire. How did you attach the brackets?

Message: I drilled a hole through the plastic backing and used a nut and bolt along with the provided double-sides tape to mount the lights. They move a little when driving, so I am looking for a way to stabilize them better.
