 Subject: aiming headlights?

I know that you can aim headlights by driving up to a wall and measuring where the center of the beam hits the wall, but does anyone know the correct dimensions? Like how far from the wall should the truck be?, and how high off the ground to the center of the light? I have searched through past threads, but haven't found what I'm looking for

I think that the vechicle is supposed to be approx 20 feet away (level ground) and that the center of the beam is supposed to be 3 feet from the ground.
Can anyone confirm that?

The Haynes Manual has the info. I'll put it up and see if you guys can figure it out. Here we go...
1. Position masking tape vertically on a wall in reference to the vehicle centerline and the centerlines of both headlights.
2. Position a horizontal tape line in reference to the centerline of all the headlights. Note: It may be easier to position the tape on the wall with the vehicle close to the wall.
3. Adjustment should be made from 25 feet away, sitting level with the gas tank full, with no load.
4. Starting with the low beam adjustment, position the high intensity zone so it's two inches below the horizontal line and two inches to the side of the headlight vertical line away from oncoming traffic.
5. High beams on, the high intensity should be vertically centered with the exact center just bleow the horizontal line.
The manual has some diagrams, but it's kind of confusing, anyway the manual also recommends having them aimed by a dealer. Good Luck.
