Message: Hey Dakota Fans...
I recently bought a set of flamed gauges for my 00 Dakota, I was wondering if anyone else has these. I'm curious how they look installed.

Message: There is a guy named Scott in the Dakota RT club that has them in his Solar RT. I have seen them several times. They look pretty sweet. Especially at night. On his there is a light that is always on that says something like "fuel door open" that is used on the Ram but not on the Dakota. In the Dakota it is always lit up. People don't really notice it though because they are to busy looking at the flames. He has never mentioned anything about the needles getting stuck to me but I don't really talk to him a whole lot.

Message: Those look sweet but like eric has said I know a few people with them and they have the needles get stuck and so 1 guy has had to take apart his dash 4 time and another problm is that the face after time if you don't clean the back of the speedo before installing the corners and sometime the middle pops up so his advise is he wouldn't do it again but thats his oppion. My advise is use rubbing alcohol to clean the face then when dry apply and enjoy.

Eric,
I ordered them off of StylinConcepts.com, they arrived fairly quickly. I just saw them on EBay last night!
I tried to install white faced gauges in my last car...huge mess! I had to buy a whole new cluster. I am going to have these installed by a speedo shop for $75. That sucks, but it's better than buying new gauges!

Message: Nu Image makes the gauges (www.nuimage1.com), they're available from a variety of sources, including direct from manufacturer.

Message: I have them on my ruck. VERY EASY to install and have never had a problem with needles sticing. Just don't push the needls on so far to get the stuck. As far as the fuel door light, that can be hidden. I didn't like the look of them all white so I bought a billit dash bezel to separate the guages and put a piece of black tape to cover fuel door light. http://blackdakrt.com/pics/brian/BLUEFLAME.jpg

Message: Okay, carbon fiber dash kit is made by Woodveiw. I got mine off Ebay, but have only seen one on there since then. Just do a search for Woodveiw molded dash kit. Will run you about $200. The rams head is just blue acrylic model paint I applied with a toothpick.

Message: Hey HSKR, do you think you could take a picture of your gauges at night with them lit up so we could see what it looks like. It doesn't seem to like very good during the day.
