Subject: Stampede Kit IP: Logged
Message: Sorry if that has been asked before. I was at the most recent North American International Autoshow and spent quite a bit of time in the Dodge display. While sitting in the Ram SRT-10 they had there, I saw a flame red Dakota with a Stampede Kit. I thought it looked like a pretty nice kit. My question is actually two-fold, does Dodge sell the kit and would it fit on a 99 R/T fairly easily. Thanks for any reply.

Message: this past summer i went to a dealership and asked this question and they had the kit for the quad cab only. but by now since its like 6 months later they may have one for the reg and club cabs. i want one for my reg cab r/t. its a nice kit but close to 800 bucks i think.

Message: Yeah, I saw the kit on a club cab and it looked very nice, though, the way the chin spoiler is attached to the front bumper didn't look that clean, it had a nice race inspired touch to it.

Message: I went to the dealer also and asked about this Stampede body kit for my 2000 Dakota and the parts guy told me that the front air dam would probably not fit my truck.Something to do with a slight change in the contours of the lower front valance below the front bumper as the years went on.Don't know if he was right or not but it's worthwhile checking out before you slap down your hard earned cash.

Message: Unless you have a 03-04 Dakota, the Stampede kit will not fit your truck. The mounting holes for the underbody part of the kit are pretty much the same but the Bumper and Valance have completely different mounting bracket locations. Dealerships are looking to charge about 800 To 1000 bucks for the kit and it will need to be painted. I decided that it was cheaper to buy a Stillen bumper cover and the Xenon side paneling. Rather than fuddle around with changing mounting holes and possibly screwing up the pieces.
