 Subject: Tailgate ideas?

I am wanting to put a shaved handel kit on my 99 dakotas tailgate but the only kit I can find is the relocator kit, problem is that I have a flush mount hard bed cover that can only be opened from within the bed, so this means that I have to open the tailgate in order to open the bed cover, so the relocator kit wont work, I thought that there was a power opening kit for the tailgate, like the ones that you install for shaved door handels, any differant ideas or help locating this product would help

i bought my tailgate handle relocater kit at stylinconcepts.com and i think i saw that power opener there too

they do make them. my brother has one on his truck he ordered it from one of those ads in the truck magazine it works awsome

That's a good idea. Until you have a dead battery. Guess you'll have to keep the jumper cables in the cab. Or design a cable operated manual release that's hidden below the bumper.
