 Subject: Clear bulbs that Glow Orange?????????

Does anyone know if they make clear blinker bulbs that glow orange when turned on? I love the look of clear bulbs in our Clear corner lenses for the blinkers BUT they look awsome at dusk without the headlights and just the foglights on glowing orange. The bulbs also need to be orange to be street legal as blinkers.
So anyways is there a such thing as Clear bulbs that glow orange when turned on???????????

Try LED lights.... they might work, but you might have to get them custom fit or something, if you do get them, they will last like 10 times longer.

As for clear bulbs that shine orange, I've never seen it, it's a good concept, and if you ever find it or make it... please post, people on here would like that.

I would not recommend the LED's for the front markers, trust me, I spent $45 to try it only to find out that the LED does not reflect in the housing because the LED points forward - therefor unless you happen to be directly in front of your vehicle about 2 foot off the ground you will see a faint yellow (yes yellow) glow.
They do make SIlver coated Amber bulbs although I have not tested these yet - thinking about it though- :)

Thanks for the help guys.......hey rich those chrome blubs might actually work, but i wonder if they will look funny in the housing when the lights aren't on? I wonder if it will give it a wierd mirror look rather then clear?

Gents, take some silver engine paint, and give the stock amber bulbs a light coating of it. I did this for my clear corners 18 months ago, for the same reason you are, and they still work well and look good. They match the reflectors when off and are yellow/orange when on.
When I did mine, I took a few soda straws and attached the bulbs to them with masking tape (masked the bulb base off from the bulb glass). Then gave the bulbs a light coat of the paint. Make sure it is engine paint though, so it can handle the heat.

I will definatly try to paint mine silver if all else fails. that sounds like a good idea. But whats this i hear that sylvania makes em. By any chance can you tell me thier part numbers or where you got em?

i got a set of those chrome/silver bulbs when i got my new clear corners; they look awesome when they're off, but i was kinda disappointed when i turned em on; they're really not bright at all. i got the hyper white ones cuz noone really cares about them needing to be orange around here, so i dont know how the orange would be.
the ones i have also look pretty cheap (although they were cheap in price!) it looks like someone just did exactly what they said and painted em chrome! So, i would definitely not buy them again; when i replace mine (soon) i'm just gonna get the bulbs i want and paint em; prolly the best way...peace

Ive painted bulbs in the past it didnt work.
I got my sylvania bulbs at checker auto, seenem at other auto parts stores. they are SilverStar 2057AST High Performance Signal Lighting.
Havent found anything for the 194 led is they only option not sure if i want them, would like to have a similar look.

I ordered the Sylvania SilverStar signal lamps yesterday, once I get them and have them installed I will take before (regular Sylvania Amber 3157 bulbs) and after (Sylvania SilverStar Signal 3157 bulbs)pictures and post them.
