Has anyone done a cool home brewed addon by themselves that really make a difference? (besides the grill...ive heard so much about those it makes me sick). like ive heard of people taking black paint and transparently spraying it on ur tailights, or making ur third brake light say something by putting letters of the alphabet in it and stuff.....has anyone custom made somehting for their truck...how did it turn out?

I did a custom trailer hitch. I put glassworks bedsides on and there is no longer a place for the rollpan cause it angles up in the back. I cut the brackets off the end and had 4x4 steel plates welded to the end and slid it right in the frame rails. Looks great and plenty of clearance back there now.

yeh i did a 4" homebrew intake hand layed up in fibreglass n resin
took quite a while though cos 1st i made a plug from foam , got it all to fit right
then epoxy coat it before u can glass it. had to make two halves then glass those together
at least its not sewer pipe and it works a treat
and it wont melt its also really quiet, but maybe
4" is too big for a 6er
i also did a grill in 8 individual pieces but thats all i will say on that

I smoked my tail lights like you were saying. I did it with Tail Shades by VHT. I also put a third tail light cover on that was made from stainless steel. It has the factory R/T logo cut through it. I bought it on Ebay. I haven't ever seen another dak with smoked tails (that aren't covers). Let me know if you have questions about either of these mods.

A few years back I wanted to buy the GTS smoke covers for my tail lights. At a lack of cash, I hit the local Wal-Mart and picked up some pantyhose.
Felt a little weird buying a pair, but it turned out looking really good. There's always a chaeper alternative.

I made my own rear suspension with square tubing and hanger mounts. I also made my own panhard bar out of a Ace hardware pipe and tracker steering linkadge. My bag setup works great and I lay out frame
something like that?
