go with Autoloc or SPAL. (and electric-life is supposed to be real good, but i just don't know anyone with experience with them.) i haven't had any real problems with my SPAL. Also, at least 35 lb solenoids.
eBay's gonna be definitely the cheapest place to get em, but still like $150. or, the companies in truckin or minitruckin magazine sell em. good luck; let me know if u need help with install or anything...peace

Thanks alot man, that helped alot. Say, would you also know where i could find a kit for the tailgate? I seen this one company a while ago, but i forgot their name. ne ways they sold a shave kit for the tail gate and it came with a motor for your tonneau cover. So at the push of a button the tonneau would open up and the tailgate would open down. Does anyone know what company makes products like this?

no problem, i know autoloc has a power lifter for the tonneau cover, but i've never heard anything about it. and the tailgate opener, i know what ur talking about, seen it before, i think even on TRUCKS on TNN;
...ok, u just got me lookin in a magazine and i found at least the company that makes both: it's Talegator (talegator.com) and it's a division of electric-life, so it should be good. The ad shows both the tailgate and the cover openers. definitely let me know how that turns out if u do it! looks cool; i'd think about it if i had the extra dough...peace

you can get the entire shaved door kit with 35lb solenoids and door poppers frum www.summitracing.com i just got mine from there and it only set me back $125.95 with shippin.and order a tailgate handle relocator from stylinconcepts.com and it ran me about $50.00,not to bad at all!Good luck and if U have any Questions feel free to email.

Thanks guys, i think i'm gunna do all of that plus i may try to suicide the doors if it ain't to hard. The kit is about 400$ though, but it would be worth it if they ain't to hard to install. Thanks again.

DEFINITELY let me know if u suicide your doors!! I'm planning on eventually doin it...after bags...in a few years!! I've tried askin some ppl with dakotas with suicide doors if it was hard, but haven't heard anything about it. good luck! peace

going to suicide doors isnt that hard if u know how to weld. I dont see why a suicide door kit would cost 400 bux when all you are doing is switching from one side to the other. Wouldnt suggest that a bigginer try suiciding the door himself, but if u take it to the shop its going to run you an a$s load of money.
