Does anybody know off the top of their heads in the dash in a 2001 is plastic or metal cause i live in Vegas where it reaches well over 100 everyday, and plastic dashes crack. just wondering???

The uppermost part of the dash is plastic/vinyl. There is no bare metal. I've seen a few different styles of dash covers advertised on e-bay, but I just keep a windshield cover on when parked and tinted my windows to keep the heat down... So far so good.
