Subject: Need help with billet grill...

Message:
I just purchased a billet grill for my dakota.

However, it didn't come with any instructions on how to install it, and I was wondering if anyone knows how to install them, or give me a good idea on how to get started. I'm completly in the dark here guys.

Thanks a ton!

It should be pretty straight forward, but it probably depends on the quality of the grill you got. I got a cheap one on ebay w/o instructions. it was a pain in the a$$!! i had to cut it up; it's crooked , and as a byproduct of the install, my hood's messed up! I wish i never messed with it. But this was probably just me. If it doesn't look straight-forward and easy, i hope u can get some help; cuz i hope u dont have to do what i did. sorry i cant be any more help. good luck. peace

well the one thing ive learned from workin at an autobody shop is that there will usually not be instructions. just take the old one out, line up the new one, and see how your gonna get it held in there. you may have to bend some crap to get it to all line up, but that is the fun part.good luck man

Hay man on instaling a billit grill on a gen 3 dak 97-up, i have learned a few tricks to help you out.

Ok on you front radiatior you have two round rubber pices that are lines with aluminum and they hold up your front ac condensor,(ac radiator) well simply remove those and then cut the rubber pices in half and then re instal them the hood will close perfectly and you will not have to cuy any part of the billet grille. good luck.
