i would like one that i could run most paints and primeirs through.
and have a nice clean finish.
is there a certain brand or type that is better than others?
i dont whant to spend the money for the best, just one that will do a great job.
also would i be able to get one as described for under $60. bucks?

Message: I personally use a Binks Mach1. Its really tempermental with a one quart cup... but I can hook it up to a 2 quart...... 5 gallon.....pretty much anything in a suction or force feed pot. Its real handy for medium jobs or Aircraft full paints. This thing can sling a 3foot pattern if I wanted it to. Unfortunatly, parts are getting scarce like rebuilt kits. I think another company bought them and peice them out
A damn good Gun that I creamed my panties over is a devilbis gravity feed. Negatives= Its only hooks up to 1 quart "funnel" and your limited on your angle of painting. But man is it easy to use. Its cheaper than most, parts are easy to find, a breaze to clean, great for learning. Its a very forgiving gun for a HVLP. I shot some thick a$$ low solvent poly paint and it didn't even orange peel.
Unfortunate for you.........they way above your pricerange (100-300)most cheap a$$ guns in that price range are just that......CHEAP A$$. I've yet to find anything that works well under 60.

Message: You can pick up a good touch up gun for small parts and what not at Advance Auto Parts. My local paint shop had to order it, I needed it right away so I tried the auto parts stores and found an HVLP at Advance for $100.00. If you need a larger gun you can use just about any gun just make sure its HVLP and has the correct size tip. And above anything else it takes the painter to make it look good.

Message: Actually its a 98 Chrysler Sebring with a TC1 Kit designed for the Avenger, the side skirts were moulded in the chrysler cladding that the dodge does not have.

Message: the tips varie due to viscosity of the paint and to help atomize. Too small.... pepper spray..... Too big .... A big orangie runny mess....... Picture a cup with a small hole at the bottom. The viscosity of paint is measure in this cup called a zaun cup. how many seconds that it takes to run through the cup is you zaun reading....... OK..... water takes 10 seconds to run through a #2zaun cup.... usually paint takes roughly 16-25 seconds. How thick your paint is well help determine what tips/ orfhis to use in your gun. With all these readings and scientific studies have prooved ...... NOTHING!!!!! Most auto paint is roughly 18-23 soo just get a setup for that thin of paint.
Most guns usually are already set up with this setting due to the fact that most are bought for auto painting anyways. If your paint somethig unusual like high solid poly or bed liner(yuck!) then thats the time to worry about different set ups. A good paint gun supplier will have a chart to explain what works well with thier gun. Never hurts to ask when you buy

Message: HVLP less overspray get more paint per cup.
Gravity is nearly the same as HVLP just the tip on the Gravity is different and requires more pressure and creates more overspray.
Overspray=Wasted Paint
Siphon - Overspray & Leaves paint in the bottom of the cup, not recommended.
And here are the pics since HTML is back on.

Message: HVLP stands for High Volumn/Low Pressure. Most guns are HVLP now adays. You COULD buy a conventional gun but they are real hard to find. Matter of fact, California outlawed conventional guns so your not gonna find one out there.
I would defently recomend a gravity gun over a suction/forced gun. They usually are easier to use.
Isn't Sasa a japan based gun company? If it's the one I'm thinkin of, darn good gun!

Message: okay i'am getting more in the market for buying a spray gun and i'am able to spend more now so my price range has moved up to around $120.00.
i would like to get something that i can still easily get parts for and isn't to complicated, but still does a good job.
i've been looking at the devilbiss' and sata's on ebay and have found that there are alot of diffrent models out there so any help on getting a good gun picked out would be appreciated.
thanks

Message: i also don't care if it is used or not, infact i would prolly actually prefer it to be used cause then i might be able to get a better quality gun and still stay in my price range.
i just bought a paasche VL airbrush the other day off ebay; once it gets hear and once i do some practicing with it, i'll let ya'll know how it works and how good of details can be painted.
