Subject: lowering dak with 2"/4"
IP: Logged

Message:
Hi im a truck newbie so bare with me.
I have a 2001 dak sport 2wd and would like to lower 2" in front and 4" in back.
My questions are as follows:
1.what brand/package do you recommend.
2.I have the r/t wheels now and do not wish to buy custom wheels, i think they are 16 tall by 8 wide. Any way, my tires are 65% high now, and with that drop kit will i need smaller tires? If so what and what is cool looking and give good performance?
3.Does lowering the dak void the fact and ext warrenty?

In advance, thank you for your help.

1. Visit Hotchkis suspension on the web. Cost is a little more, but quality is hopefully way better than what I have

2. You should be ok. They are not R/T wheels, but they are the 16" from the tire/handling group. The RT wheels are 17".

3. The lowering kit could void a warranty repair if the lowering kit is the result of the breakdown.

Thanks josh, they are 16" wheels from the tire handling group, i was confused.

another question: with this small of a drop do i need to replace the shocks.
i mean shorter springs require shorter shocks right/wrong?
