I am going to paint my bumble bee stripe on my truck bed and take off my vinyl stickers. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good place to get DuPont Silver Metallic Flake for a good price?

Skip on the dupont and goe with PPG
Z-Tube, R/T Rims, SSB Rear Disc Conversion, Alpine Head-Unit, Infinity Kappa Speakers, SilverStar Headlights, HO Cams & Intake installed.

Every big body shop in my area(Western New York) uses PPG. Thats what I have used, very nice paint and from what I have herd cheaper than DuPont.

I dont know... i dont think PPG's gonna be cheaper than Dupont. IMO, i think House of color's best (at least for custom paint), then PPG (for anything); i know alot of GOOD shops that use PPG. and at the WAAAAAAYYY bottom: Sherwin Williams (yes they make truck paint and YES it sucks.)
dupont should be pretty good; i think it REALLY depends ALOT on having a good painter. peace

PPG is crap. use House of Kolor base and DuPont clear. its an award winning combo. HoK longest lasting/most consistent bases. DuPont has crystal clear clearcoats(chromaclear). Good luck.

Talk to a body guy you trust, but you will get a differant answer almost all of the time. House of Color is great, and has especially recieved rave reviews since the advent of shows like Monster Garage, American Choppers etc. Because of these shows, people have joined on the bandwagon.
On the flip side PPG is also an exceptional paint, and Dupont plays a close second. PPG has been in the industry for decades, and is used by most "5 Star" rated shops, for its durabilty, longevity, and ease of color match for rebuilds and blend jobs. If a guy/girl, knows how to shoot a vehicle, he/she can make any paint job turn out good. I have used all three at one time or another, with no complaints. Want deep, rich color? Good luck
