 Subject: Chrome Grill - Trade or Paint????

I've got a 2000 SLT with the stock chrome grill. I've been trying to find a bright white one (color of my truck). Thought I had one off ebay till the guy screwed me. Anyway, I figured I'd try here and see if anyone wanted to trade me their bright white one for my chrome one. I live in Phx, AZ and thought the easiest way would be if someone local wanted to we could meet and swap them out.
My other thought if there is no traders out there is to paint it. Can a stock chrome grill be painted? Or would it be better to get one of those aftermarket ones and paint it?
Trade would be the easiest. Anyone interested or know anything about painting a chrome one??

dont try to paint the chrome one! You wold have to take all the chrome off paint won't stick to it. How about checking with a junk yard or body shop for a replacement non chrome one.

don't paint the chrome finish one, i had mine replaced with a red one (insurance) and from dodge it was like $300+ but was already painted
maybe try ebay again and get an aftermarket and paint it

You can paint your stock chrome one if it comes down to that,theres a special primer for painting over chrome you just follow the normal procedures,sand,primer,and paint.
