Just take it to a reliable shop and they'll check the paint code in your door jam. They should match it to a tee unless your current paint is faded.

Find the paint code, then go to an auto paint supply store, and they can match the code with automotive spray paint. That's what i did. I'm painting my doorhandles right now.

Napa Carries Dupli-Color Truck/SUV Match Paint in Spray Cans for $5.99 ea, Just go to (http://duplicolor.anthonythomas.com/match/match_maker.cgi) and then find your code and if they don't have it in napa ask them to order it and it will only take a few days for it to arrive and you can use it on different thing, I painted my dash and several interior pieces using it...looks great!!

If you want exact matches to your paint, go to the dealer and buy the Mopar brand paint. Its not the type of paint thats "close" to your color, its exact! I have seen many people who have used the Mopar spray paint to paint their door handles, dashes, etc.

what about the clear coat? and lets say he wants to paint a peice thats bigger than a scrach or a rock chip.

Yeah, I had to ditch the spray can idea. Found out to do the job right on plastics, you have to add "flex additive" and mix into the paint and like terry said, clearcoat. Thanks for all the advice guys, but I got everything I need now. Take it easy!

Matt99Dak has the right idea,the paint they mixup is the same you buy to do a full paint job ,but they put it into a spray can.They could even add a flex additive if necessary and recommend a clear coat.It's gonna cost more than an off the shelf spray can ,but they'll be able to get the colour better.I know you said you found the answermbut this may help others.
