Does anyone have the ventguards that slide into the window frame versis the ones that apply but 3m tape and do you like one or the other better because I'm going to buy the ones that slide into the window frame as I have seen a couple of trucks at car shows and they look sweet because you cant' hardly tell that they are there and the are only $45.

"WeatherFlectors"
Ventilation made easy, rain or shine, while parked or in motion! WeatherFlectors are precision crafted in Germany exclusively for Mac Neil Automotive. Products by ClimAir®, an OEM approved supplier to nearly 20 of the world's finest vehicle manufacturers. The lightly tinted cast acrylic is nearly twice as thick as the nearest competitor and installs quickly and easily inside your window channel using a precision-machined, micro-thin mounting flange. Rain or shine, while parked or in motion, you get the best of both worlds with WeatherFlectors! While parked you can leave the windows open an inch or two to keep the interior cool and while driving with the windows open you can take advantage of the fresh outside air while minimizing the amount of wind and noise entering your vehicle. On rainy days you can partially open your window without getting soaked, allowing an added bit of ventilation to remove stale or smoky air. And with the WeatherTech® WeatherFlectorsTM being TUV approved it is clearly your finest choice.

Maximize your fresh air enjoyment.
Optically transparent.
OEM quality.
Sleek aerodynamic styling.
Reduces wind noise.
Installs inside the window channel
No unsightly exterior tape.
Minimizes interior heat when parked.
Helps keep side windows dry in the rain.

Are these the same ones that channel all the
way to your side mirror. I think those are pretty
french looking. I prefer the ventshade style that
stops about halfway down the pillar. I like the
idea of no tape though.

Over time you will get scratches at the top of your window because of dirt build up. At least it did on mine. I was wondering, if i took them out if the window would leak due to the stretching of the seal inside the frame?

I also have been considering the Weatherflectors as the idea of using no tape appeals to me. I have a couple of questions for those that use them.

1.) I am mostly interesting in preventing that wind from buffeting my ear when I drive with the window down. Does the Weatherflector deflect the airflow enough to prevent this? Right now I hate to drive with the window open but I need the air (Thank you DC for removing the fresh air vents from the 01 models, that was really stupid).

2.) Does the Weatherflector interfer with your ability to see the rearview mirror clearly or any other visual interferences?

3.) Does the no tape Weatherflector have any other advantanges ver the Ventshade version and does the Ventshade have any advantages over the Weatherflectors?

3. the weathertechs look much nice but the ventshades allow more room in between the glass and shade. I personally liked the clean look.

Dakota 2 Time, you do have fresh air vents. I thought the same thing and took mine back to the dealer, they couldnt get fresh air either so they called DC and DC told them the vent won't open until you turn on fan. It works turn it on when stopped as you get up to speed it really does get stronger. Not sure why but who cares as long as i get my fresh air!! make sure you don't do this in max mode (re-circulate)

Dakota 2 Time

Just got a set (front and back) of Weather Techs for my quad. Look very good. Do not interfer with mirror. My wife was very aprehensive when she found the package on the front porch. But after seeing them mounted and using them the last few days (its rained here in Dallas the last few days), she admitted that they do look very good compared to the tape ones and work very well. Well worth their extra cost.

Good Luck

them. Much nicer than Ventshade. I had
Ventshade on my older truch and the sucked
compared to the weather Techs. Very easy to
install also.

Well, thanks for the opinions. I guess I will make the investment and try a set of Weatherflecters. After all it is only a 50 buck investment. Not like I'm installing a drop kit :-)
