Subject: Pics! - painted bumper, rollpan, etc. IP: Logged
Message: OK, I finally got some pictures of my dak after removing the decals, painting the front "sport" trim on the bumper, and putting on a sir michaels rollpan with a hidden hitch behind it. I'm really wanting to crack into the engine and put in some new cams and port/polish the heads -- soon, soon. These pictures were taken right after a rain, and I haven't detailed or waxed her yet, so later pics will be better.
BTW, it's a 2003 4.7 cc sport plus

Message: Looks sweet. I've been wanting to paint the front top part of my bumper as well. Did you do it yourself or have a shop do it? Was it a pain to take that part off?

Message: Cost me about $150 for all the sanding, smoothing, painting and wet sanding at a quality custom body shop in town. I have a 2003, so the bumper was all one piece (I think pre-2002's have two pieces) -- but it was real easy to take off. A few bolts and a few clips.

Message: you can probably offset that cost by selling your stock bumper. I got 150 for my stock SLT bumper on ebay.
so you may look into it.
