Message: I have a Raven dual exhaust muffler on my dakota with three inch pipes, there was definitly a notice in power increase and the sound the thing makes is unbelivable...it's priceless! cost me around $480 w/ the stainless steel tips.

Message: I just put on a Flowmaster 2.5" in/out to replace factory -- no other changes. It's 50 series delta flow. The sound is very manageable for long trips and trailer towing. Sounds good when ya get on it.
But if you want it loud and are not concerned with listening to it for 3 hours pulling a 22' boat, go with a 40 series or something more open.
If you are planning on doing it yourself, be aware that Dodge installs exhaust clamps so tight that it crimps both pipes together. Be prepared to cut or heat your old muffler off.

Message: I have Dynomax, single pipe exiting the side. It isn't as loud as I wanted but then again it was just a quick decision. I would have liked it a lot better if It was a dual but oh well. After you get to 40mph it is really silent and the tone while accelerating isn't all that great. It could be better.
