Has anyone had their dak painted. If so how long did it take and how much prep work is needed on a 98 blk dak with a few small scratchs and a few spots where the paint has faded. Any info?

Rich is the truck reg. or ext cab because black is the easiest color to paint as I doit out of my garage on the side and will do it for less than bodyshops charge but I won't take on rusted out rats. As to you ? it depends on just what needs to be painted if you live in Mn I can tell you some places that are cheap and do good work

Thanks for all the info. There is one spot that is the size of a nickel that is rusted and it is located in the bed--not too hard to fix. It is a Ext. cab so it is a little bit bigger but I will look around. I live in houston and it is very hot and humid down here so I may wait until it cools off some before I get it fixed.
