im thinking about taking a big step, im thinking of swapping engines from a six banger to perhaps a 4.7 whaddya guys think ?is there a costly amount of work involved and will it even fit?

For the headaches involved with a modern engine swap- go with something worth the effort.
Go with something old school and cheap to build right..... heads, cam, full roller, etc. Make it something special.

BTW- the 4.7 would require a trans swap as well.
About the only way to do it right would be to get a rear crash and swap EVERYTHING over.
